Fair Haven’s short-term rehabilitation center provides physical, occupational and speech therapy, as well as nursing services, within a dedicated rehabilitation setting. Designed for individuals transitioning from a hospital stay, Rehabilitation focuses on restoring strength, mobility and daily function with the goal of a safe return home.
Recovery in a Residential Environment
Rehabilitation services are delivered in two beautifully appointed rehab households supported by a dedicated therapy gym and advanced therapeutic equipment.
Recovery takes place within a smaller household setting that includes a private suite with a private bathroom and shared living and dining areas, creating a residential setting while maintaining clinical focus. Guests are encouraged to shape their days in ways that support both therapy goals and personal preference.

The interdisciplinary team develops individualized programs based on each guest’s condition, goals and discharge plan. Rehabilitation plans may include:
Occupational Therapy:
- Rebuild personal care tasks
- Improve ability to perform daily routines
- Support meal preparation and homemaking skills
- Address cognitive and functional challenges related to independence
Physical Therapy:
- Improve strength and mobility
- Restore coordination and balance
- Manage chronic pain
- Support safe use of mobility aids
Speech Therapy:
- Restore communication skills
- Improve speaking, listening, reading and writing
- Address swallowing and cognitive-communication challenges

Care That Extends Beyond Your Stay
Fair Haven connects with rehabilitation guests during the first 30 days after discharge to monitor progress and coordinate any additional support that may be needed. This follow-up supports a stable transition and reduces the likelihood of avoidable setbacks.
